Cookie Policy of ATÍPICOS

Last updated: March 2026

This policy explains clearly what cookies we use on www.atipicos.org, what they are for, and how you can control them. We do not use non-essential cookies without your prior consent.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files saved on your device when you visit a website. They help the platform work correctly, remember your preferences, and — if you consent — help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Cookies cannot access your personal files or harm your device.

2. What cookies do we use?

On ATÍPICOS we use the following types of cookies:

Essential cookies (always active)

Required for the platform to work: keeping you logged in, securing your account, and remembering your language preference. Managed by Clerk, our authentication provider. No consent required and cannot be disabled.

Payment cookies (essential when making a purchase)

Stripe, our payment provider, uses its own cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. These are only active when you complete a financial transaction.

Map cookies (essential for map functionality)

Mapbox, the service we use to display maps and professional locations, may set technical cookies necessary for the interactive map to work.

Analytics cookies (optional — with your consent only)

We use PostHog (European instance, data stored in the EU) to understand how the platform is used: which pages are visited most, which features are most useful, etc. Data is analyzed in aggregate and is not used to identify you individually. Only activated if you accept analytics cookies.

Personalization cookies (optional — with your consent only)

Remember your configuration preferences to provide an experience adapted to your needs (for example, remembering accessibility settings).

3. How long do cookies last?

Cookies can be of two types by duration: Session cookies: automatically deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies: remain on your device for a set period. Clerk authentication cookies last up to 7 days (active session). PostHog analytics cookies last up to 1 year. In all cases, you can delete them manually from your browser settings.

4. How to manage your cookies

When you first visit ATÍPICOS, we show you a banner where you can choose which cookies to accept. You can change your settings at any time from the 'Cookie Settings' link in the footer. You can also manage or delete cookies directly from your browser:

If you disable essential cookies, you may not be able to log in or use some basic platform features.

5. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy when we change the cookies we use or when regulations require it. If the changes are significant, we will notify you prominently. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.

6. Contact

Do you have questions about our use of cookies? Write to us at: info@atipicos.org (Subject: Cookie Policy). We will respond as soon as possible.
